Distill does not allow you to monitor e.g. this page - it doe snot display the selector: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tabs-outliner/eggkanocgddhmamlbiijnphhppkpkmkl?hl=en-US&utm_source=ext_sidebar
I was surprised how well it worked and helped by buy a Midea. Its a keeper.
Neat extension. Would love being able to turn on/off existing individual monitorings without having to go to watchlist.
Before you subscribe to Distill.io, read their refund policy carefully and understand what happens if the service doesn't work for you. In my experience, the platform suffered from repeated technical issues that made it unusable for extended periods—sometimes weeks or even months. During that time I continued paying for a service I couldn't actually use. I spent countless hours working with their support team, providing logs, testing fixes, and helping them troubleshoot what they acknowledged could help improve the product for other users. Despite paying for months of unusable service and investing my own time to help them diagnose the problem, I requested some account credit to use the service I had already paid for and wasn't able to use due to their technical issues. I was never offered a refund, account credit, or even an extension to my subscription. When I eventually disputed the charges with my bank for the unusable service, the dispute was decided in my favor—and Distill.io responded by permanently closing my account. Software bugs happen. What matters is how a company treats customers when things go wrong. In my experience, Distill.io did not stand behind its product or make a reasonable effort to make things right after months of service interruptions. That left me with the impression that retaining subscription revenue was a higher priority than customer satisfaction. I have since switched to PageProbe, and the difference has been night and day. It has worked reliably for my needs, offers unlimited monitoring completely free, and hasn't given me any of the recurring problems I experienced with Distill.io. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Distill.io. If you're looking for a website monitoring tool, I'd strongly suggest trying PageProbe before paying for a Distill.io subscription.
Could you add more souds for change detection? current souds are way too low even with 100% skeapers voluom.
Minor glitches
Would imagine the flow would be: Download, add page to watch, it would work but sadly doesn't, Too complex and don't want to spend my time learning how the system works, otherwise the tool is probably good but just spending long time learning the tool just to listen 1 websites updates isn't simply worth the time
broken
Restartarting brave web browser makes distill extention shows only blank box, and it does not work at all.
Excellent product that has served me very well. Also, the support team is absolutely first rate. The respond quickly and do their best to help you succeed.
Wow, amazing! I was able to order Tesla Model Y the one I wanted from the inventory to save money. They are gone almost immediately after they show up in the inventory list, so Distill really helped me with this. I was notified via email when the car showed up in the inventory and I quickly booked it online. A+++
Does not work. Error: Oops! Something went wrong! undefined
Doesn't work any more. When I click on the icon, it opens a little empty white square box, and does nothing else.
Very good tool, but aside from email notifications, and pop-ups on right side on windows no sound or anything to get notified, although a small alarm snooze would be good, like for 5 seconds, of until you cancel it, that is a good idea and you will always be alerted for changes in the sites or apps that you look the change to happen.
Anyone else getting phantom snoozed notifications? How can I switch that feature off? I only want real-time updates
Amazing free tool, perfect for my purposes.
Gets the job done, but often leaves tabs open in Chrome and really ruins the ability to 're-open last closed tab' by the way it operates. I would like it if that bug and UX problem could be addressed.
"Distill Web Monitor has crashed. Click this balloon to reload the extension." Distill crashing constantly on Vivaldi browser. The first start up of Distill always seem to work, then the subsequent will crash until browser is completely shut down and restarted.
Excellent solution for monitoring web sites for updates!
Can anyone tell me how this plug-in is being used for business purposes?
it needs some serious polishing. note to dev crew: if you have ever used "web xp" on android that is how element selection is supposed to be. it should automatically know to check list items. i have so many suggestions...but alas, until the element selection gets handled i can't go above 3 stars.
definitely 5 stars! this thing does exactly what i was looking for, in a discrete way (no need to enable On-all-sites ?).
simple, easy to use and works great
Is it free now or not?
It does not work anymore Edit: it was enough to disable/re-enable it and it started working again Great!
I have got my first notification it is a so usefull and free tool. Thank you developers!
This is an AMAZING broswer-extension, and I hope Distill never stops working. You can install it FREE here on Google Chrome, and also on Edge, Firefox, etc. It's better than FluxGuard, VisualPing, and WebAlert combined. As of early August 2024 they let you monitor up to 25 websites for free, of any changes that are made to them, and you can set the maximum "frequency alert rate" at 26 days. Hallelujiah!
Whats the chepeast plan if only using for Amazon Shopping. Id like to enable SMS Thanks
It's a great tool for a browser if you don't have to deal with dropdown menus that demand macros and other stuff to show any new results. It's a shame you really have to pay for a basic function like "Macros" and other stuff, like I know the developers really need money to survive in this capitalist word, however, this make Distill Web Monitor only available and really useful in situations like this one: when, for example, you like to watch the changes of a static page (and nothing else besides this). If you need to do something more advanced, get ready to pay a few dollars. And i'm not even american, at least they could make it affordable worldwide.
Excellent
